Today’s post is called Suit Up; the modern day gentleman and is all about wearing a suit as a young adult.
Hi guys! How are you doing? I hope you are doing okay! Today’s post is called Suit Up and to be honest, I’m pretty excited about it. It is the first time that I’m posting a blogpost with me wearing a suit. I personally love a nice and clean suit, especially for the more fancy occasions.
Wearing a suit as a young adult
Wearing a suit as a young adult can be a bit tricky. You want to look mature and fashionable at the same time. When you pull of this look in the right way, it looks stunning. However, wearing the wrong suit makes you look rather funny. Depending on your body type I would recommend wearing a slim fit suit most of the time. A slim fit suit looks more fashionable and better suits your age.
Make sure that the trousers are well adjusted to your legs and not too big. When the trousers are too big, the whole suit looks off. If the trousers that belong to the suit are a bit too long or wide, make sure to go to a tailor. They can easily shorten the trousers or make it less wide. For the jacket, make sure to buy the right size. Whereas you can adjust the length and width of trousers, the same doesn’t go for the jacket. The jacket has to fit perfectly right out of the store. When buying a suit, don’t be afraid to ask for help from the store’s staff, they can really advise you and make sure you buy the right suit.
As you can see in the photos, I’m wearing a black two-piece slim fit suit. To bring some color to it, I decided to wear Happy Socks. Adding a color piece like the Happy Socks really brightens up the suit, which is something you can do when you’re young! You only see them slightly, but they still lighten up the outfit. However, if I would wear this suit to an event or meeting, I would decide to wear it with regular black socks to keep it more clean and mature. My shoes are Dr. Martens shoes and the watch that I’m wearing is from Daniel Wellington. I love the clean and minimalistic designs from Daniel Wellington and they fit perfectly in this outfit.
I hope you guys like the outfit! Take a look through the photos and decide if it is something that you would wear.
